Hey all,
I got a trouble yesterday that really stumped me. Maybe you guys can help.
I have 2 Opt 11C's at 2 locations with 2 PRI tielines. DID's 800#'s all come into to one PBX lets name that one Maiden Lane. DID's are forwarded over the tieline to the other pbx using CDP lets call that Wall St

This customer has 2 800#'s that come into Maiden lane get forwarded over the tieline to Wall st and terminate at a set with 5 hunting scr's. at night they forward this number via CFW key on the marped set to an external number. The first call goes through fine. If a second call attempts to connect at the same time at the first the caller gets reorder.

A few things i have checked.
on the Wall st PBX all local calls use pots lines

If you turn on DCH messaging for the tieline you can see the call fail and get an error like "SWED equip congestion"

The number that the calls are being forwarded to can carry more than one established call at a atime.

During the day calls hunt on the phone with no problem

Any ideas?

Thanks
Matt

This is a Nortel "feature" called flexible orbit prebvention timer.

The gist is that this prevents a 2nd (or 3rd or 4th etc.) call from being forwarded off the switch for 14 seconds (default value) from the time the 1st call is forwarded.

This value can be changed in your CDB under the Net gate opener, values are from 0 (no protection/prevention) to 30 seconds.

Post back with any questions.
