Option 61C

Is there anyway that I can program my phones so that calls from external numbers are forwarded to voicemail(Make Set Busy) while calls made from internal extensions ring at the dialed extension as normal?

Thanks

RAD problem

You want all the externals calls to be redirected directly to your voicemail, without ringing, right ?
Try using the IDC table in LD 49, but not very flexible. You can use the CLS CFTA too of course but the calls will ring to your extension before being transfered.

Call Pilot - Reverse RPC Connection

OK.
So I put CFTA in the CLS and then set EHT and EFD with our voicemail extension. Now when I put that set in 'Make Set Busy' external calls and internal calls are both forwarded to voicemail without ringing at the phone. The only difference is now the external calls get the external voicemail greeting while the internal calls get the internal voicemail greeting.
Is there a way to allow the internal calls to still ring at the set when 'Make Set Busy' is activated?

I use the IDC table for situations like this

Example
You want DID 7999 to goto VM when dialed externally, but you want it to ring when dialed internally..

LD 49
REQ chg
TYPE idc
CUST 0
DCNO 1
IDGT 7999

7999 7113 (When 7113 is the VM DN)
....

You can leave 7999 as a FDN to 7113 so that the internal caller will be routed to VM after 4 rings...

Using the IDG table would work but the condition is that the uers has to put their telephone in 'Make Set Busy' before any of this will work. If you use the IDG table I believe that external calls will always forward to voicemail regardless of the state of the set.

Scheduled Maint for PBXINFO Sat. November 22nd, 2003

Well, I found only a complicated way to nearly achieve what you are looking for, with a second DN.
Assign a second DN to the phoneset, set CFTA EHT to your voice mail and HUNT to this second DN. But to work this second DN need to exist on another phoneset (I said it's a complicated way). Since Phantom DN must be unique, you have to create a regular phoneset with this 2nd DN, not very economic with licenses and TNs...
If you found another way, let me know.
