A RED alarm means that you are not receiving any signal on the receive pair. In this condition, you start transmitting a YELLOW to the far end. A YELLOW alarm is a RECEIVED alarm that means the far end can't see you. The fact that you are seeing a YELLOW though is an indication that you DO see the far end. A BLUE alarm is a 'keep alive' alarm that, again, is a transmitted alarm from the far end. | |||||||||
