HOW to inform that the called party is on the phone?
Feature is needed on a Meridian One 51C soft. Rlse 23
Just for premisses to premisses calls between 2616 and 2616 sets for which key 00 is a DID line and key 01 is local rollover extension, marked as LHK

Need to let the calling party know on her/his 2616 display that the called party is on the phone, whenever it holds true, before transfering the call to voice mail, which is a CallXpress. The called party would have the option to leave a message or hang up and activate some key (or something) to automatically monitor and redial once the called party frees the line.

I am familiar with commands to change/add sets, but never used any load that affects the whole system. Please, examples of specific commands to program needed feature.

NOSDE - I think you looking for a BFS (Busy/Forward) key..

Key xx BFS TN Busy Forward Status key

Where: TN = Terminal Number to be screened. A Key
cannot be assigned to a BRI set.
Note: It is possible to configure the TN of the same set against
the BFS key only if the Class of Service is BFEA.

BFS lamp or LCD states
Party B’s BFS lamp or LCD reflects the status of Party A’s set in terms of
both the Busy or Idle and the Call Forward states.

In my opinion, Nosde, you are looking for Hunt or something like this.

I don't know a way to make the thing works the way you like, that is to give the choice to leave a message or to redial.

Either your HUNT is set to transfer to the Voice Mail and the caller can leave a message (don't know for CallXpress, but MMail inform the caller if the set is busy or didn't answer), or HUNT is 000 and busy tone is sent. If the caller phone have a RGA key, (s)he can press it to Redial when the called phone is idle again.

Of course the phoneset must have the CLS HTA.

You can mix with the CFTA option to make a difference between external or internal calls, HUNT to 000 for Internal calls and EHD to your Voice Mail for External calls.
