Location: In a Galaxy far, far away... [a.k.a. Tiverton, Ontario (CANADA)] Rep Power: 11  Gender:  Country:  | Setting Up Alphanumeric Pagers in CallPilot Ok. I am a seasoned CallPilot person but I seem to be missing some critical information regarding Remote Notification and Alphanumeric Pagers. I want to set up a mailbox so that remote notification is sent to an alphanumeric pager. I know the paging service TAP modem number. I know the PIN of the pager. I have successfully sent text pages to the pager using a modem and the correct softwarer. *BUT* When I go into CallPilot and set up remote notification it takes my pager numger, it takes my PIN but then when I leave messages nothing happens. If I opt instead to simply send numeric messages to the pager itself it works fine but I cannot get the alphanumeric part working! Do I need something special on CallPilot? Do I need to put a modem on the box? Do I need to set up somehing different in the software or hardware? What am I missing? Summary: My CallPilot system's Remote Notification works with Telephone, Tone and Voice Pager, Numberic Pager but *not* Alphanumeric Pagers....... WHY?
