Location: Toronto Rep Power: 7 ![]() | Hi everyone, I have an employee here who has two locations. Im trying to program two digital telephones identical on two different TNs but only marped to one. Both sets have the line keys programmed as SCR. One phone works fine, the second will not seize dial tone on the prime line(key 0 both TNs). Although it does on the phantom (key1 both TNs). Maybe I cant have two identical prime DNs programmed as SCR? I dont know. Anyone have any suggestions? I would also like both phones to light up when there is a message, not just the marped set? Thanks

The set that is not MARPed will need for this extension to be on another key besides zero. What we have done in the past is reversed the zero and line one for the secondary location. Both are built to SCR and both get voice mail in one mail box. There is only one MWI extension however, we utilize remote notification and it will page the folks and let them know that they have voice mail no matter where they are. So: Reverse your line 0 and 1 Add the secondary phone to the prime voice mail box as an extension (line 1 is now the prime number on this remote phone) Utilize remote notification and they won't miss a page That's my two cents. rlc __________________ "This participation is personal and does not represent the United States Census Bureau". Location: Toronto Rep Power: 7 ![]() | I want my Rolm back!! This isnt really what I'm looking for....I want the prime to be on key 0 of both phones so that they both ring when the number is called. With your solution one phone will ring, the other will only get a tone on Key 1. MCR wont do it for me as I still want calls to roll over to the phantom if she is using her prime line on either phone. Im not a big fan of remote notification, can you not set a feature on the marped phone or in callpilot that will allow more than one MWI set? Am I SOL?

Location: Lou, KY Rep Power: 11 ![]() | Simple (?) Coverage Question I don't use callpilot so I can't add to what I offered before. If MCR won't work for you then I'm not really sure what else to do. If your user isn't on the phone both devices will ring.... one on key0 and one on key1. If you are using MerMail then you are limited to the one MWI. Key0 is the prime DN key and that is why it must be unique. Sorry I can't provide something more flexible. Maybe there are more ideas kicking around out there. Any takers? rlc __________________ "This participation is personal and does not represent the United States Census Bureau". They make me say this.

Should be no reason why you can't have both phones programmed the same AND have message indication on both sets. As long as the MWI DN in CallPilot or Meridian Mail is the key 0 DN on both sets then the light should come on at both sets. MWI gets tricky when the MWI DN is a multiple appearance but is not key 0 anywhere. Yes, one TN will be the MARP but that shouldn't affect dialtone or message light.

Location: Toronto Rep Power: 7 ![]() | Thanks Steamer, You were right it was a bad phone. I can now get dial tone on key 0 unless the other set is in use...but a LED of a little phone lets you know that. The MWI on the other hand is still a problem, if I leave a message in her mailbox it only lights the marped phone. The other set even though the MWI DN is on key 0 does not light.
