Location: Lou, KY Rep Power: 9 ![]() | Bubye MAT I know that this topic has come up several times. I have been digesting all of the posts and the software feature guide's simplified directions. I have more questions. 1) In an option 11C, only 2 cabinets, would it be safe to assume that I would only need one music trunk? Would I only pull a member from another route and rebuild it as a music route member? Then I would need to wire that TN to what? 2) In an option 81C, with 4 network groups my questions grow. If I have to have 2 conf loops per group I am currently covered. I think. I have at least two conf/tds cards in each group. Do I pull a member from one or both of these conf/tds cards and rebuild it as a music route member? Where does the Universal Trunk card come in to play? Then do I wire that TN to what? 3) In an option 61C, only one network group, I have the same questions as above. I have pkgs 7, 44, 119 in all three system types. If one conf loop can provide 29 simultaneous listeners, does that mean with one member to this route 29 people will be able to access it at the same time? In the smaller locations this seems enough but what about in larger systems? If anyone has experience in this type of engineering or would be willing to share your current method feel free to email me directly if posting is awkward. (rachelle.l.cassetta@census.gov). I will thank all of you for your time and thoroughness in advance. I realize this is no small matter. rlc __________________ No matter where you go, there is the Ladies Love Marty Fan Club. :bow2: :bow2: :bow2:

Location: Lou, KY Rep Power: 9 ![]() | I did get some private messages on this issue and thank you so much for your detailed support. This isn't nearly as painful as the NTP had me believing it would be. I do have two follow up questions: 1) In the 81's, would I need multiple CD players or would daisy chaining the trunk TN's be acceptable? 2) If more than one Universal TN points to a single Conf loop, do these members need to be associated with different MUS routes? In the 11's and 61's it appears that only one TN will be needed. However, in the 81's I will assume that I will need more than one TN per Network Group. Is that a fair assumption? What has been the real world experience with that? rlc __________________ No matter where you go, there is the Ladies Love Marty Fan Club. :bow2: :bow2: :bow2:

Location: Gulf Coast Rep Power: 5 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | This is how my system is setup....I use Universal Trunk Cards I have a 81C Network Goups 0, 1, and 2. (7) columns and (2) remotes. I have music being piped on a single pair from Music and Page (They have a cable DMX receiver). That single pair is then punched down on a bunch block and ran to the following Universal Trunk TN's: DES MUSIC TN 060 0 01 00 MBER 1 MUSIC_ON_HOLD TN 092 1 00 04 MBER 2 MUSIC_ON_HOLD TN 012 1 01 00 MBER 3 MUSIC_ON_HOLD My Route Programming: TYPE RDB CUST 00 ROUT 44 DES MUSIC TKTP MUS ICOG OGT SRCH LIN STEP ACOD 8044 TARG CLEN 1 OABS TIMR ICF 512 OGF 512 EOD 13952 DSI 34944 NRD 10112 DDL 70 ODT 4096 RGV 640 GRD 896 SFB 3 TFD 0 SST 5 0 NEDC ETH FEDC ORG HOLD 02 02 40 SEIZ 02 02 RGFL 02 02 CDR NO MUS NO TTBL 0 OHTD NO ALRM NO SGRP 0 AACR NO Some recomendations: Conference loops The Conference loop is a part of the dual loop NT8D17 Conf/TDS card. It can broadcast music from a source to a maximum of 30 users simultaneously. One Conference loop is normally recommended for each half network group or 14 traffic loops. You can connect music trunks to NT8D14AA Universal Trunk Cards. Set Type: to MUS (ic) when creating your Trunk Route.
