I have an option 11c with an acd q , 800 # terminates on acdn 390 which is night call forwarded to 181 I have 10 agents in 181 q. The cust now wants to send the calls to an external 800 # from 11pm to 7am and/or if a call is in the q more than 30 seconds. is this possible by just using the acd? or will I have to route them through the mmail system. If possible could you please give some insight on how to set them up.

If you have MAX it's possible to do it without the mail. Use Configuration control, Create or Modify Change Orders, Change Night Service Parameters.

Tell me if you have MAX and I'll tell you how to set it up if you need help.

Have your 800 provider to do a time of day routing on your 800 number. They can set it up through SMS800, this is were all toll free numbers are setup.

Or, leave one phone loged in after 11:00pm and have that phone... No that will not work. I think if you call forward that phone it will automatically log out.

have you looked in to using your interflow options? You can set this to allow a supervisor to enable it or disable it using the prompt AENI at the queue level. You would then program a key on a Sup station and they could auto enable the interflow to this other number. You have plethora of timing and threshold options depending on how you wish to procede. Look at your NTP's regarding the interflow of numbers very carefully. I think this is what you will want. It isn't completely automated so, you will need some human intervention. Good luck!
