Display with No Key?

I am trying to program up an I2050 set on a 81C PII. It is on release 25.40. When I enter I2050 as the type and then enter the Virtual TN I want it on it gives me an SCH5783 error. When I look up that error it says: SL-1 set cannot be located in a superloop.

I have another 81C at another office that isn't a PII version but it accepts the 2050 just fine. Does anyone know of a particular problem on the PII's or possibly a package I am missing or patch? It takes the 2004's no problem just not the 2050's.

Thanks for any help.

Chad

i2050 is an IP softphone.

SCH5783 Error??

The I2004, I2002 and I2050 are Internet telephones for working with either Succession or a Meridian system with an ITG card installed for doing Voice over IP.

VX Works

i2050 is only valid on 25.40 systems. On 25.30 you provision both as an i2004 set.

getting to MM from terminal

Yeah it is a 25.40 only difference between the 81c I have i2050's working on is the PII processor. Don't know if I am missing something else or what. I am guessing there is some sort of patch for it.

Time to call in your vendor. You may even have some underlying corruption...

Just talked to a Nortel contact. If you have version 1 of patch MPLR16603, then that is your culprit. You need to get the updated version of the that patch installed.

I just ran into this YESTERDAY myself! Can you believe it?!

Gwebster is right. There is a patch MPLR16603_1.CPP that was written to deal with some corruption issues, and this causes the SCH5783.

The current version of the patch is MPLR16603_2.CPP. If you are using DepPak's, it is included in P16000_2.CPP automatically. (The DepPak's just went to version 2 a few weeks ago. This patch was a new additoin to the core pack.)

I tested this on my lab yesterday and confirmed this to be the case.
