Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Question about NARS? We recently implemented NARS, before we were just using Coordinated Dialling Plan with Trunk Steering Codes. AC1 is programmed to use an SPN. If you dial AC1 and then "011" for an International long Distance call, the "0" is programmed as a SPN and directs the caller to RLI # 74. This RLI has ENTR "0" programmed as local termination for when "Route Control" is implementated and ENTR "1" is programed to use an outgoing route with a FRL of "4". My Option 11C connects over Satellite to the main Node in our network an Option 81 PBX. However if a phone on my PBX with an NCOS/FRL of "4" trys to dial AC1 +011 they are denied access to the International route at the Option 81, only a phone with NCOS/FRL of "5" or higher has access. Question: Is this because NARS uses TCOS, Travelling Class of Service and the NCOS/FRL of the callers phone on my PBX is transmitted to the Option 81 PBX which then uses this TCOS to determine my users access to the Option 81 PBX's International route, which must be programmed to allow access only to users with an NCOS/FRL of 5 or higher? Note: On my PBX in LD 87, "NCTL" is programmed so NCOS is the same as FRL, so an NCOS of 4 is equal to an FRL of 4 etc. Last edited by MT-Tech; July 7th, 2009 at 01:10 PM.

Location: India Rep Power: 5 ![]() | TCOS seems to be configured! It is recommended to maintain similar restriction level (NCOS/FRL) across all switch s when you have TCOS configured. Since TCOS is configured! You can even have the frl in RDB as FRL 2 0 FRL 3 0 Unless you want to block the callers, calling certain numbers in 81c. But when a caller tries to call out via 81c, they will be checked against the ncos/frl in 81c. Last edited by shankar; July 12th, 2009 at 09:11 PM.

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Thank You shankar for confirming my conclusions! Question: Which programming prompt in my RDB programming is the one that activates the TCOS feature? I have already changed the NCOS/FRL levels on my OPTION 11C to match the FRL levels of the 81C PBX.
