I am having to change the IP addresses in both Meridian Max and Link tonight and I'm not quite sure of the procedure. Has anyone done this before - and does CCR usually have an IP address? I didn't think ours did but some poeple think it does. Where would this be at?? Any help would be appreciated - thanks -

Don't know for Meridian Link, but for Max, it's quite simple. Just Shutdown Max and after go to Configure Max system | Max hardware configuration | 2. System Parameter and have a good time.
If you have 2. System Parameter (view only) then Max is not shutdown.
As far as I know there is no IP address with CCR. Look at the rear of the module, if you find no ethernet cable at the rear of the CCR card, I'm right

Thanks! That does sound really easy - I know exactly what you are talking about - and I'm pretty sure I can handle that - now for LINK - hope I can get something on that soon - I'm also looking at the NTP but can't find anything yet.....

Thanks again

You do know that once the Max IP is changed your supervisors won't be able to access their information displays until the new IP address is entered in MTE\Settings\Edit Options\LAN.

Just a word of warning!

A good word

For documentation look at this URL http://www.longman.ca/telecom/Nortel...rtel_docs.html

in the section Call Centre - V2, I think.

Thanks for the warning (diversion) and for the link (webjim)!
I do know that unfortunately all my supervisors will be affected by this - I am not looking forward to this change tonight- but it is beyond my control. Oh well - I will look through the documentation to find info on Link = thanks - there's an NTP that I am missing and I think its on here!

Thanks again,
Ravenlc

If you have a maintenance agreement with a vendor it may be worth having them come in an open a trouble with Nortel. Nortel can log into the Link with root access and change your IP and default gateway. It's alot easier than going through the re-install process.

The init.d file contains the default gateway, and the hosts file (etc/hosts)contains the system IP address. You will need to reboot link after the changes are completed.
