Is there anyway to block cdr from a set by set basis? I know you can do it on internal calls but how about external calls? Thanks

Just curious but why would you want to do this?

We have an employee here who looks over the phone bills with a fine tooth comb and is causing some problems. I just want to watch out for some people in the department.

Not sure how you would approach this--

I suspect you would have to create a route for the sets that you want to prevent CDR data from be collected...

LD 16

REQ CHG
TYPE RDB
CUST 0
ROUT 0-511 Route Number
DES x...x Designator field for trunk (0-16 character alphanumeric)
TKTP a...a Trunk Type
...
CDR (NO) YES Call Detail Recording Enter NO for the rest
- OAL (NO) YES CDR on outgoing calls
- - OPD (YES) NO Outpulsed Digit

With that done - you'd have to somehow have those sets access that route..?? Ask someone about FRL setting and TGAR (although I think TGAR only comes into play if your system doesn't have Nars/Bars or a CDP setup)...

Anyone have any ideas???

Darby,
So your worried that someone who is doing thier job by going over the phone bill might see some calls that may indicate that some employes are not working when they should be or what?

No, it's not simply someone doing their job, that would be fine. It's just somebody using their job to cause problems for good people because they don't like them or whatever.

So is that the only way to do this, to build a different route and send these dn's out that route. Thanks

Darby....

Does the guy look over the phone bills or the CDR? If he looks at the phone bills and then asks who made this call or that call then the matter is simple. I have access to the CDR flat file so one can simply... um... alter... the calling DN for certain choice calls to say.... the trouble-maker's DN.

Better yet be pro-active! Before the person comes to you make some really bad calls and change the CDR information to reflect that Mr. or Ms. Trouble-Maker's line made those calls, then when they catch the calls on the phone bill and come to you for the CDR information you can watch their reaction as you hand them the print-out!

Of course.... I disavow ever having made this suggestion.
