Hi guys,

On my 61c, anytime anyone makes a conference call, there is a periodic two tones (like what you would hear on hold). This is network wide and I need to get rid of it. Tried rebuilding the CONF/TDS loops to no avail. Any suggestions?

TIA

Check LD 97. You probably have the XCTP data block configured with CFWT (Conference Warning Tone) = YES.

Ring Tones

There is also a switch setting on the Conf/Tds pack (switch 4, if memory serves) that turns the warning tone on or off.

If GW's suggestion doesn't do the trick check the pack.

Does the 61C have only one CONF/TDS card? I know on the 81C we had many and when there were problems like the "beep, beep" we would have to busy one or two out and trouble shut that way.

Since this is a 61C, the conference warning is controlled by the dipswitch on the NT8D17 Conf/TDS pack as Jack suggested.
CFWT in LD 97 applies only to the Opt11.

I've heard of this problem before on an option 11c which had to do with some kind of european conference feature which we do not use in the United States. No sure if that can help you, but just a though that might help.
