i2004 and Redial/Callers Lists

Afternoon all,

After much faffing and learning we have managed to install a handful of i2004 handsets on our VoIP network. They work superbly, as you might imagine, but we (the test users in the IT dept) miss the callers/redials lists that we used to have on our old 3903 handsets for missed calls and dialed numbers.

I have read through the NTP about Caller Lists for IP handsets and it appears we need to configure this at SS level on the switch for IP handsets. Now, the only issue is, the documentation I ahve found only seems to apply to CS1000 switches and we have an Option 11C with IPL3.10 on our VGMC.

Is it possible to configure our switch to do these lists with our ageing switch and firmware revisions?

Many thanks in advance!

Hi roodbwoy

I had seen somewhere that the following features do not work with CS1000 R3.0

a. Corporate Directory
b. Personal Directory
c. Callers List
d. Redial List
e. Virtual Office
f. Navigation keys

(So that users do not see them) You have to install a Patch/PEP to disable them: PEP #MPLR22050

rgds,

Moshe

Caller list/Redial list for Ip phones are provided via Signalling server! Do u have a Signalling Server for your node?
or Is it a node with no sig sever and using Media Card as Leader ?

Do not be cheap - Upgrade to a release 5.5 or 6 system.
Release 3 is End of Life.

The features you seek are located on the signaling Server.
