Genus....

I'm somewhat new to working with PBX's, and have muddled through and learned quite a bit about Nortel's Meridian that we have here at the office. Can someone please tell me though how to change the system time that appears on the phones? Right now it's about ten minutes behind actual time (and the time that appears on my network) and I'd like to get them all in sync.

Thanks! It's Option 11C.

Chuck

Changing System Time on Meridian Option 11C

Pull out your Software Input/Output Administration Guide and look up the STAD/TTAD, SDST/FWTM/BWTM/TDST, and STDA/TDTA commands.

Before you ask, the Meridian 1 does not support connnecting to a time server to automatically keep the time synchronized. There are others in this forum that have developed scripts which periodically take the time from a PC and use the above-mentioned commands to reset the Meridian 1 time.

FYI to make your NTP search easier:
STAD/TTAD stands for Set time and date, show time and date

Ld 2 is where you will change this info.

gwebster, do you have any examples of scripts which periodically take the time from a PC and use the LD 2 commands to reset the Meridian time?

Thanks!

Here's a straight forward one for a single site.

proc main
integer iDay, iMonth, iYear, iMin, iHour, iSec
string sSetTD
set txpace 75
transmit "****^M"
pause 3
transmit "LD 2^M"
pause 3
transmit "TTAD^M"
waitfor "."
pause 1
ltimeints $LTIME iYear iMonth iDay iHour iMin iSec
strfmt sSetTD "STAD %02d %02d %d %02d %02d %02d" iDay iMonth iYear iHour iMin iSec
mspause 250
transmit sSetTD
pause 2
transmit "^M"
waitfor "."
mspause 500
transmit "TTAD^M"
waitfor "."
mspause 250
waitfor "."
transmit "****^M"
endproc

Don't forget that in 5.0 you can use NTP to set the time.
