We have an opt11c. We have some mp3 files we would like to play while people are on hold. I am new to this. What exactly needs to happen to make this work? Hardware, software settings, physical attachments?

Thanks

Pulpit- You'll need to program an open trk to a Music Route. Then hardwire the MP3 player to the TN blocks.

TN 004 0 00 06
TYPE MUS
CUST 0
XTRK XUT
TIMP 600
BIMP 600
RTMB 6 1
CFLP 1
DATE 13 JAN 2000

In this case you would punch down the MP3 to TN 4 0 0 6 on the blocks.

Luck

It's has taken me 20 mins to reply to one issue. One moe time.

After you program your music route TN, splice your MP3 player output wire and punch it into the music TN. Do you use conference loops or music on hold licences? You will want to make sure your ACD's queue have MURT set to the Music route number. There are a few other things that need to be done.

TDD not Available with OTM?

They are actually company ads so I don't think we need any license for them. So just program the tn and punch down the mp3 player to the tn? They will start playing when people are on hold? Also, does this need to be an analog port? If there are 3 mp3 files, does it select them randomly? Thanks!

Hey Pulp,

They will play in whatever order you set the
MP3 player to play. By licience I was refering to
music port licenses, but you probably have
conference loops, so don't worry about it. Above is
how it is done for music on hold while you wait on
an ACD queue. I am not certain how you get music
when someone simply puts you on hold and where
you choose the music route, but I would
like to find out.

This is not for an ACD Queue. It is for when someone simply places a caller on hold? Any thoughts on how to do this?
