I have a department that would like to be able to have persons calling the main extension leave a message for multiple users of that phone. Each user needs to have their own mailbox within the main mainbox. Is this possible?

multiple mailboxes inside main mailbox number?

It sounds as though you're speaking of a Tree Mailbox.

Example:

Caller Dials 8899 and hears greeting: "...We're unavailable...."
Press 1 to leave a message for John Doe
Press 2 to leave a message for Jane Doe
etc.......

Some Mer Mail guru's should be able to help you with this on Monday....

Go to Voice Administration - Voice Services Adm9inistration - Voice Services - DN table. Add a Voice Service DN (Access DN and ID should be matched for less confusion), as service select MS (VM service). Than go back to Voice services and select Voice Menu Definitions - add a definition with the same ID (DN - ID matched prior) . Define the keys you need for express messaging (EM) and set up the mailboxes you want to reach from this menu. You have to create sub menus in case you need more than nine mailboxes for your case.

Later,

Thanks that worked great. I hadn't thought of using express messaging and that is what I needed. Thanks again Bouser_o
