Rep Power: 7 ![]() | Downloaded NVM 4.1.05 access 602h I need to do a manual backup of my 61C. I've never done this before so I was wondering if the backup fits on one floppy for each core CPU? If this is the case I guess I would have to switch CPUs in LD 135. And also I need to clarify the synchronization on an Option 61C. During the midnight backup do both of the CPUs synchronize and then do a dump to each floppy? Thanks

Typically 1 floppy will work per core, depends on size of your switch, although switch does use a compression utillity as well. Only the active IOUD/C does the backup during the midnights, presuming that LD 43 is in your DROL routines. Jack

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Hi During Midnigt routine all the Ovly's mentioned in the OVLY data of LD 17 will run.IF you have included LD 135 and LD 137 which will do the IODU and CPU diagnostics and also will swap the CPU and IODU. Note : It is not absolutely not necessory to include LD 43 in our DORL.System will keep track of any changes done for the last 24 hours and then if any change made during the last 24 HRS then backup will automatically enabled will the data will get backup in the active core. Hope i am clear enough.Waiting for your comments. Thanks.

Rep Power: 7 ![]() | I guess what I'm understanding is that the backup might fit on one floppy. I'm also understanding that only the active CPU does a backup to floppy. I'm still somewhat confused about how the synchronization works. Obviously, when the CPUs switch at midnight they have to contain the same data. Exactly how does that process work? Thanks
