Question NARS/BARS Question

I have a question on NARS/BARS that I admit I am just learning the basics of and you can probrably tell by how I word this. We have a Option 81c, 1000E, and 3 option 11, we are using NARS because of all the systems are networked together. My question is can you use LDID when using NARS? for example a employee faxes a document from a facility A (option 11) to facility B (Option 81) which is networked together and both facilities are set up using NARS not BARS. The employee instead of dialing the inhouse extension he or she dials the outside fax number causing it to go out of the network to the local CO then back into our network to the pbx option 81C to the destination. Can you set up a LDID when you empliment a NARS system so it will see that that number is in it's own directory and keep it in the network and send it to the destination with out going out of our nework to the local CO.

I hope I explained my question clear enough, if I did not I am sorry. And again thank you for any help that is given in advance!

I would think so, but you may need to set up a DMI, and a route to route those off site calls

Thank you for your response, All the routing is set up everything is set up correctly and functioning fine. The other tech on site is pretty much an ace on this stuff and has messed with the majority of NARS/BARS, I asked him about this and he said that he did remember reading about it and thought of looking into it but has not ever had the time and I admit its not a priority on our list but thought if I could find out it would help us out some. He said he wasn't sure but thought since we were using NARS that it wouldn't work for all the site but just the site that the number was dialed from but then again he didn't say he was forsure about that so I was looking for someone that might of set this up in the past.

LDID is used to term a call to your local PBX. If the fax machine is on one of the option 11s you need to route the call over the tie lines (I'm presumig they are tied together with tie lines) instead of sending it out to the PSTN. You can set the routing first choice to the tie lines second choice to PSTN and use DMI table to get the correct dialed digits depending on the rout the call goes out.

Tim is correct you could also deny the number in your nxx/npa to force the caller to dial te ext.
