Is it normal for I2004 phones to almost completely mute the handset speaker when you start talking, making it sound as if you are on a cell phone or CB? Is this a configuration issue?

Are you having this issue with one phone or all of them? Also do you mean similar to having Full Duplex speech or half duplex? What release phone is this happening on?

Yes, similiar to half-duplex speech. Al Phones. I did find something that improved this, though. Someone had changed the port on the Cisco 4507 switch that my Baystack 460 is trunking off from to half-duplex. Any idea how to improve the volume on I2004 sets?

TYPES OF MEDICAL INSURANCE

The reason the speaker is muting while talking appears to be because they are turning the volume all the way up to be able to hear. This is IPLine 3.02.18, v1.39 firmware on phones, v6.5 firmware on cards, configured with IPLine 3.0 module OTM 2.0.
