Hi,

I was wondering if anyone out there can help...since we had been infected by the nachi worm virus, I have been unable to communicate using the Symposium client on a VPN session. I am able to use the client in the office.

Here are the things that have changed since then:
We have installed the security patch to the clients and server (microsoft security patch)
I have .net installed on my laptop (which I have uninstalled to see I could connect)

What ports does Symposium client need to use on the network to talk to the server? The network guys say nothing is different in the network. Anyone have any ideas???

SCCS New Agent no stats attached

I just sawthis, sorry for the delay.

Some of the recent virus and security pathces for the servers have
restricted or possibly eliminated communication on some vitual ports
in the servers. Port 135 or 175 comes to mind. The SCCS client is probably trying to communicate on the post and it has been blocked or restriected by the latest patch. Ask your IT department to verify which ports have been modified and ask them if you can have them unblocked or unrestricted again. They may be a little hesistant to do so, since the nachi virus attacked servers from the very port that it restricted.

Miran music slows down

Do you use some type of Secure ID, Radius or TACACs for authentication? Aso, ask where the VPN device sits in relation to your firewalls.

setting procomm for phonemail

Was a solution ever found for this? I seem to be having the same problem. What should I have my IT guys look at?

Your network guys may be unaware of what is blocked. Some of the ISP's have been blocking things upstream. You may need your network guys to contact the ISP at both ends to see what is going on.
