Ring only certain phones on incoming calls

I have a bit of a problem that I have been pulling my hair out trying to figure out. I was basically put in charge of this phone system with no knowledge(except for the knowledge that i have learned on my own) of it since our phone tech quit and my company is too cheap to hire another one.
Basically i am trying to set the phones up here in the office to only ring on certain phones for incoming calls, but the phones still need to ring for internal calls, transfers, etc.
any help would be greatly apreciated.

Good Luck ! It seems you are looking for a left handed telephone.

I am unaware of how to do this.
It seems very strange why you would want to ignore external calls but answer incoming calls or vice versa. Caller ID !

I doubt any one has set this up previously.

The best thing I can suggest is setting all the people who dont want their phone to ring setting key 0 SCN

For those who want their phone to ring, Key 0 SCR

Or Maybe give the phones that dont ring for external call an internal number.
So no one externally can calls these people.

thnx for the input BigWorm. I have tried what you suggested before and still no joy .
Maybe if i explain a few more things it might make more sense. It's not that I want to set it up to ignore external calls all together. Right now when we recieve external calls, the whole office rings. My boss wants me to set it up so only the receptionists phones ring for incoming calls. So in other words I guess you could say i need it to ring for the receptionist, but the line only flashes for everyone else. If that is even possible. I have Merdian 2616 phones in the whole office and each phone is set up as such.
Keys 8-11 are set as PVR numbers? if that makes any sense. They look like this:

Key 8 PVR 4003 0
Key 9 PVR 4301 0
Key 10 PVR 4302 0
Key 11 PVR 4303 0

keys 8-11 recieve the incoming lines which we have 4 of. Keys 0 and 1 are internal lines/extensions.

When we recieve an incoming call, they are routed to keys 8-11.
the 4 incoming lines we have are 358-2xxx.

here is a complete print out of one of the TNs

Now it makes more sense. On the phones that you do not want to ring on incoming calls, just change the PVR to PVN.

Example: Key 8 PVN 4300
