I have an Option 81C with mostly 2616 sets running on it. I have recently noticed an internittent problem with transfer and conference. I went to transfer someone the other day and pressed the transfer key, got reorder tone, dialed the extention, talked to the person on that extention, pressed the transfer key again and nothing. Press press press and it was like it wasn't even programmed. I hung up from that call and tried transferring another call and it went right through. Every now and then the same thing happens with conference. Does anyone know where I can start trouble shooting? I did have a bad Conf/TDS card which I replaced and it tested OK, but still having this intermittant problem. I'm scratching my head on this and probably over complicating it, but hopefully someone has experienced this before and can shed light on me.

Transfer problem
jm- do you have a lot of users like a call center that does a lot of
transfers/conf.?

No call center and not a great amount of transfer/conf. I am guessing half the users don't even know how to transfer or conference. We have a lot of rocket scientists here!

HMM- Well you can try this, it worked for me when we had the same problem. However, we do a lot of conf. and transfers.

In LD 16 for the local routes chg the EOD timer to 4096. These are mil sec. delay before conf/trans tones reset. the default is usually around 13952. If that doesn't resolve the problem you may have a
timer problem in the Conf. Card itself.

Was the call that you were trying to transfer coming from an attendat transfer? If so. that will not work. you cannot tranfer an attendant originating call

No, the call was from a cell phone. I didn't know you can't transfer an attendant transfer. Good information.
