Any Clue? Fletch, GW anyone???

Hey guys and Gals,

One of my "sister" sites was spitting this error out --

BUG6205 SBB: Reduce sets configured on this device, type = 0, device num = 10.
%

In the middle of some MSDL errors, the NTPS are as clear as MUD ---

BUG6205 SBB:Reduce sets configured on this device, type =, device nu =.
XPEC card, type = 0
ISDLC card, type = 1
Action: Reduce the number of sets on the device.
Severity: Info. Critical to Monitor: No. SNMP trap: Yes

Anyone have their secrect decoder ring handy??

Thanks!!!!!!

Jack

Yup, try the patch 'Keith' suggests, here is a bit more info on it (it is a merge of the following 2 patches)....

Problem Text For MPLR24281:
Customer uses Directory Number Delayed Ringing (DNDR) feature to give
delayed audible notification (ring or buzz) to SCN/MCN keys. For multiple
appearance DNs with a mix of SCN/MCN and SCR/MCR keys, the DNDR feature
interrupts the ringing cycle on ringing keys (e.g. SCR) during periods
in which an SCN/MCN key first receives its audible notification.

Example:
Set 1 Key 0 SCR for DN 3300
Set 2 Key 1 SCN for DN 3300 DNDR = 12
Set 3 Key 0 SCR for DN 3300
DN 3309 is called from another set 4.
First ring cycle (2 sec ON, 4 sec OFF) is normal for SCR sets 1 & 3.
Second ring cycle (again sets 1 & 3) is normal.
Third ring cycle does not occur when expected; i.e. there is a pause
in the cycle.

EXPECTED RESULTS:
SCR keys should ring as expected when DNDR timer on SCN
set is non-zero.

ACTUAL RESULTS:
SCR keys have pause in ring cycle.

IMPACT OF PROBLEM:
Customer heavily uses this feature and this a significant
nuisance for them.

Problem Text For MPLR26048:
Customer uses DNDR (DN Delayed Ringing) feature on multiple appearance
numbers. Occasionally, intermittently, this feature causes excessive
messages sent out to their XPEC controllers, causing problems with
phones defined on those XPECs. Too many messages in too short a time
may even cause the XPEC to restart, which drops all active calls on
the resetting XPEC.

Setup and Actions Performed to Cause the Problem:
Multiple appearance DN with sets having non-ringing keys (e.g. SCN, MCN).
Some sets configured for DNDR (non-zero DNDR values in TNB).
Multiple, simultaneous incoming calls to multiple appearance DNs with
DNDR sets.

Expected Results:
Normal call ringing and call processing.

Actual Results:
XPEC message overload, variou
s set problems, calls dropped if XPEC restarts.
BUG6205 in rpt log indicates XPEC messages overload.

Impact:
Intermittent end-user problems, including dropped calls.
