| Junior Member | Creating a Quiet Term number You can configure test lines in the Customer Data Block (LD 15), there is a gate opener for test lines. You can configure a T100 test line that is a combo silent term, 1004 milliwat test tone, 5 seconds on/off. Are you setting up automatice trunk testing from a DMS to the M1, or do you just want a silent term to dial from a station? |

| Junior Member | RESUME OF GEORGE W. BUSH Sorry Jack, I did'nt actually answer your question. Silent term provides a termination for which noise levels can be tested. I have not used for years, have not had to worry much with digital trunks. Used to be quite common to dial a silent term with measure noise levels. Milliwat which is typically a 1004hz tone, allows you to measure levels (for loss or gain) on trunks. Another test trunk is looparound, this does what it infers, when dialed, it will allow you to test round trip whatever you are transmitting into it. |
