Restart CallPilot server software

CallPilot 2.02 on Windows NT

I need to restart CallPilot in order to possibly fix a problem. In the past, I've restarted the entire box to do this but I was wondering if there was a way that I could 'reinitialize' the CallPilot server software without restarting the entire box. I would want to try this first before restarting the box which can be an ordeal at times.

Unfortunately i dont think there is, safest bet would be to create a backup of the callpilot before rebooting it, and just to be on the safe side try rebooting it of the OS as apposed as pressing the little reset button!

It was always recommended to shutdown / reboot a CP by using CTRL/ALT/DEL Shutdown (reboot).

reason for this is that it apparently is a nicer way for the databases to be closed. The reset button is a more immediate and "savage" way to restart a box, and has the potential for corruption.

I agree with ozzie.. I've been instructed to use Cntl-Alt-Del ..even over using the normal Start --> Shutdown--> Restart buttons.

Either way is better than pushing the little kill button.
