Hey gang - I seem to remember hearing a few years back (maybe at an annual INNUA conference) that there was a feature allowing folks to send a brief text message to a display phone and the text appears on the LCD display window. Does anyone remember this? Is this in fact a working feature? Or is this my que to lay off the heavy drugs?? Thanx, Scott | ||||||||

Rep Power: 12 Gender:  Country:  | If you are refering to the 3900 series phones then the answer is yes you will find it in the CDB under gate opener STS_MSG and on the 3903-5 sets I believe it's in the options menu. I don't have any 3900 series phones available so I can't direct you to the location at this time. Maybe someone else can jump in and help. P.S. I will dig around in some of my user guides I have floating around all over the place. Will post back as soon as I can find some info. I remember messing around with it, but for the life of me can't remember why or if I could or couldn't get it to work. Must be the drugs.. he he Hopefully I can get back to you soon.. | ||||||||

Rep Power: 0 Gender: Country:  | I have set this up using M3903s, and software 25.15 & 25.40. The Set-To-Set Messaging works as a message when the phone is called, not as a message that you can send to any set at any time. If you call a phone which has a message set, your phone will beep before you hear ringtone, you should then be able to see the message left of the called parties phone. It's handy if people leave messages like, "Back @ 14:30", I know then to hangup and call back after that time. | ||||||||
