hello everyone, just need a some technical understanding on rls. 5.0. i uese to have rls 4.5 with sig server and mc32 where if sig server is down all IP phone registration will move to mc32 which also server as a TPS, however with 5.0 i only have sig server and mgc, of in case sig server is down what will happen to IP phone ? any recommendation and clarification on how can i have a redundant TPS aside from adding another sig server.

thanks,

Your phones would be unable to register if your signaling server fails as there is no TPS on the MGC

You have two options:

1) Install a secondary signaling server as a follower, so if your primary fails, the phones will auto failover to the next signaling server

2) Install a MC32 / MC32S card which can act as a TPS and set this up to a follower of the signaling server.
