Food and Drink Facts

On the site I'm working on at the moment, we have an Option 81C with numerous Fiber Remotes. All of these remotes have a SILC card in them for provision of ISDN BRI lines. Problem is that these lines have a tendancy to die; disabling and re-enabling the relevant MISP with a force download always brings these lines back into service.

Does anyone have any thoughts on what could be causing this? I have to do this for each MISP at least once a week at the moment, and the end users go beserk when their video conferences don't work!!

The good news is I've just rolled out virtual office with 3903/4's, and it's working sweet (except we need to upgrade to 25.40 at some point to get the SCC feature for phantom sets lol).

getting a 2006 to only dial internally

Not sure what causes it but we have seen the same thing on our 81C and 61C. Once you do a FDL it works fine for a random number of days, weeks or months.

Re: ATA trouble----HELP

I should be so lucky - I think the longest I have managed to go without kicking one would be about a week!!

I have the same problem here. It seems as though the BRI lines "go to sleep". Whenever there is a video conference I have to disable and reenable the card.

Thank GemTech, now a new question...

Yip, seems to be completely random as to which MISP I have to FDL. I'm thinking of setting up a ProComm script to reset them all dialy at obsure morning hours as an attempt to reduce the amount of visible outages. I've actually had some guys from Kingston, and some guys from Nortel on site to look at this problem and they weren't able to come to a conclusion...

DISPLAY BASED ADD-ON CONTRAST?

well i suppose fletch has no comment or hasnt read this post. oh well. just wondering if anyone has the isdn bri solution through the pbx where the misp cards does not go to sleep. it is pretty pathetic it seems that everyone has the problem yet still nortel doesnt have it resolved.

Meridian Programming Crash Course

I've been poking around, and not found anything yet :casstet:

I'm going to raise a proper case with Nortel to get this looked into in more detail... so far I've had 5 of their engineers take a look at it, along with 2 Kingston engineers

Patch description

Hmmmmm... well I've been "playing" with it for the last few days, and all 4 of my MISPs have come up with the below error at least once whilst I've been working on them. I ordered a new MISP card in to replace one which fails all the time, and it could barely manage to stay up for 2 minutes. I have another brand new one sat on my desk now which I'm going to swap later.
