Help! Unable to connect to Meridian

Hi,

I look after a Meridian opt 81C. I were in ld 20 removing old TN`s which were no longer active.

I had removed a couple and then the hyperterminal window went absolutely bonkers.

Every key I press just comes up as 0 . It is still popping up maintainence messages and the likes just not letting me do anything. No LD commands, logi, logo.

Anyone have an ideas? as I have 40phones to create and put into Symposium

Thanks

Christian.

Edit to add: I am using a com port and serial lead to connect to the Meridian. I also have a backup from last night. I have also tried rebooting the pc that I use to connect and unplugging the serial lead from it to.

err183 is a DNIS translation error

DNIS calls cannot terminate because the IDC Translation is invalid, or
the terminating station is not an ACD-DN

Are you sure you are still logged in?
Have you tried another tty port?

I have left it disconnected for over an hour to hopefully time it out but to no avail. Any key press is display4ed as 0 .

How would I go about trying another TTY port?

If you are seeing maintenance traffic, I would say you have a good connection to the pbx. Leaving it disconnected for an hour should have timed out any bad password attempts. Do you have a modem connected to the pbx? Can you dial in? And, what do you get there? Have you somehow changed your communications setting for the hyperterminal session? Have you tried building a new hyperterminal session?

Im unsure about the dial-in modem as I inherited the system so on that one I am fairly stumped.

We have looked at the comm`s settings in the hyperterminal session and believe that nobody had changed it.

I have tried building a new HT session but every key press shows up as 0 no matter what emulation I have had it set on.

Are there any default settings which should let me in on HT? Is it likely to be the PC at fault?

Thanks

C.

I have seen issue with hyperterminal before wher I had to blow away the original session and build a new one. You need to be able to look at the ADAN information to see the com settings for a given tty port.
Are you using the pc for anything other than access to the pbx? If so and it is working I would say no it is not the pc, if this is its only function try something else and see if the keyboard seems to be working OK.

ADAN? How would I go about finding the info?

The PC has the Call Logger software which is running fine and dandy on Com2, The Meridian HT port is com1 which does give the Maintainence info but nothing else other than type 0 no matter what key I press.

I have tested all the keys in notepad and they all show up fine.

LD 22 to print ADAN info.

Even though you said nothing changed on the com port settings try changing them and see if you can get it to work. What is it set at now?

Do you have a maintenance set configured? You could try logging into it and dis/enl your TTY port.

Or if you haven't done an EDD, you could try doing an INI on your switch.
