Two sets ring at same time

What equipment would I need in order to make the 61C an automatic voice answering system...example....you have call the Hospital, press one for OBG, press to for Ear Nose Clinic, press 3 for and so on....they have Meridian Mail....would they hardware and software with the meridian Mail in order for this to work... or would I need a third party system for this to work with the 61C...Thanks.

I think you are refering to an IVR or Voice Prompts. We use a third party to provide this service, I don't know if the Meridian has this capability.

Definity "Line side T1"

Meridian Mail is capable of this and probably has all the required software.
What you describe is a simple voice menu.

M911 pkg 224 implementation?

Tonka-As Streamer said, "MM can do this.". However, if there are more than 9 depts. you'll have to Sub Menu the voice menu prompts or front end them. Example:

Menu 1: For OBG or Ear,Nose, depts. press 1.
1 goes to> Sub Menu 1a : For OBG press 1
For Ear, Nose, dept. press 2.

OR

Front end like this:
For Dept.s A-M press 1 ( or something along these lines to group the Depts.)
For Depts N-Z press 2.

Luck!

automatic call answering

As a word to the wise NEVER have more than 5 choices in a menu and ALWAYS offer an option to both replay the options and reach a live person.

If you don't your askin for trouble.

ACD reports

here's my bit

Go into mail and find voice menu's

Select add and the screen will come up for you to fill in what you want it do
Give it an ID eg 100
Do not enter access password but do enter update password eg 12345

Then select what you want each digit to do ( you will see a list of the neumonics to use eg CL to call a certain number )

also at the end you will see an option of what to do if you receive no response,, if you put RV in there it will call the number that you entered for the revert DN,,, assuming you entered one earlier.

Then go into prompt maintenance ( check dn table for access code ) and record greeting and menu choices , enter this as one,,, do not select to change the menu choices prompt do it all in the greeting prompt.

Then create a number for the Menu on the option 11 eg 7005 and program a dummy acd queue up for that number with NCFW to mail DN eg 7000

then in voice dn table enter that number and point it to the menu ID you created earlier , eg 100
