Networking PBX's over IP

Hi,

I am getting ready to convert voice ports in meridian mail to ACCESS ports. Here are the steps I have outlined. Am I missing anything? Am I going to need to reboot Mail/Symposium after I build these in order for the access link to be synched?

1. In Meridian Mail, disable the ports in the channel allocation table
2. In the PBX, out the ports that need to be reprogrammed and reprogram against the ACCESS queue
3. In Meridan Mail CAT make the changes to reflect the new queue and that they are ACCESS ports
4. In Symposium, create the TNs under phonesets and click that they are voice ports.

CDN aquire in SCCS 3.0

Looks like you are on the right trail.
You do have the Access Link installed and sync'd, check status in Mer Mail Tools >access diagnostics.
An IVR-ACD DN in M1 built for the ports to point to and finally an IVR ACD DN in Global settings in SCCS with # of ports used, default DN, Mailbox and pswd.

I don't see where you need to do any rebooting just disabling and aquiring.
Good Luck.....

Hi Tedd,

Thanks. Yes, we already have the access link installed...we just don't have enough ports assigned for some of the new applications that we are implementing. I will try this when I am ready for another night of fun...Maybe next week...Thanks!
