It takes sometimes 15-30 minutes? And yes you can use the phone while the routines are running, but you don't want your routines running at a high peak hour. Hope that helps?

Location: Valparaiso Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Thank you...... but i have more questions... what could be the problem if i am runnung the DROL rutines at a high peak hour???. i am wondering if i can make the DROL 30 wherever i want, just for one time, not like a rutine, is there a way to do that?

Location: Sydney Rep Power: 2 ![]() | DROL can do a number of tasks. The biggies time wise are the data backup and the switch tests. Heres the deal.... If you have a multinode succession, then the back up happens on each of the media gateways. result is that they can be very time consuming. (i have seen up to 30 mins for the backup) If, for example you have an 81c, with a lot of IPEs then the switch test takes time....I have seen 40 mins plus. The result is that when you have reasonably intense backgrounds running, it can be to the detriment of what you really need..... call processing. You cannot as far as I know you cannot break DROL into single sub routines..... face it DROL = Daily Routine Overlays. Only option I can think of that does things in the background through the day are the BGND tasks set in LD 17 OVLY. Thing is though, its potentially moving things from low traffic (midnight) to business hrs etc. Probably not a good thing Oz

NOT A GOOD THING!!! Especially during the day the boss will NOT be happy with you. You can run any of the DROL routines individually. Look thru your maintenace NTP's. Depending on what your trying to do yes LD 30 can be run during the day, but use with caution. If your troubleshooting a problem at least get it down to a loop and or shelf level rather than running a system wide test. If your just running routines to learn what they do best to do off hours and or during a pre cleared maintenace window. Be sure that you know how to recover from anything you cause though. __________________ Dogs rollover Phones hunt
