Lightbulb OPT 81c, Power supplies

Just taking a look around the Meridian that I have inherited to take a little care of I noticed that the mute alarm switch had been flicked at some point as one of the power supplies seems to be in the off position.

My main question is are they off for a reason and if so what is the likelyhood I could damage something when turning it back on? Are there any commands I can type to find out what the issue is? I have some pictures If you cant figure what I'm on about

Thanks

Christian

In the first cabinet there are a two trays of batterys and above that are two power supplies. Above the power supplies is the mute alarm switch.

The left hand power supply is showing that it has a current of around 21 with a green light showing. The right hand power supply is currently showing a current of 0 with a red light on.

Im wondering if this is a common thing of only running one psu as some datacentres do with servers so you have a fresh power supply if things should go south, Or, it has tripped and should actually be switched on. I have some pictures if those would help I could pm you them?(it wont let me post them)

Those are the two power supplies. (the mute switch is above and unfortunately out of shot)

I saw the pic , both SHOULD BE ON. But, did one trip, blow up, or just get turned off by mistake.
they are designed to share the load

when you turn it back on, there is a small screw next to the word "FLT", you might need to adjust both "FLT" screws until the amps read about the same..

Okay.. Well thats what I was wanting to know!
The pbx is around 8years old and Im hoping it has just tripped.

Would there be any effect if it has popped when I switch it back on or will it just trip out again?

Depends why it tripped in the first place.

I personally would NOT try this during production hours as there is just no telling what might happen when you flip the switch.

If the batteries are that old you should probably also get a vendor in to verify that they are still functioning with your currect load.
