If you've added a new TN, it should work immed - no waiting for a "scan".

If you just inserted a Digital Line Card, and you can't seem to "see" it as available in the system, go ahead and build a phone on one TN of the new card, and the other TN's will then appear as available.

Good Luck

Who gave you that info?

As WW states the phone should work as soon as you crossconnet it after you have programmed it.

Last time I did not explain well... what happend is if I unplug a digital phone and i plug it again next day the phone do not work until next day... I think that the PBX( Meridian 1) make something like "scan" at midnight and if the phone is not connected at this time, is not going to work. I am trying to find something in the NTP's but i have not had luck.
If someone know something about that i will apreciate that help....

Saludos desde Valparaiso, Chile

Set CLS=FLXA on the TN associated with the digital phone and the midnight "scan" will not disable the port. When you plug the phone back in the next morning, it should start working.

PANCHO, it is a midnite routine. If you go to LD 22 and prt ovly, you will see your routines in the drol prompt. To is DROL 030 that is doing the scan you mention. You can remove it LD 30 from the routines, but I would leave it in there.

FLXA as gwebster stated will keep a phone from becoming disabled during the midnite routine, but I would not use this on a wide scale basis.

Sorry, for the typing errors after reading the response. Had someone standing and talking to me as I was typing.

If you want to enable a single handset that has been disabled by the overnight routines you can do CHG in ld 11 answer yes to the ECHG prompt then hit enter at the ITEM prompt. This won't change anything but it will enable the phone.
