I'm looking for a way to call forward a phone to an outside number in programming. We do not want users being able to call foward them themselves. For security issues, they will have to give Telecom Admin the phone number and we set it in programming. The only way I know to do this is FTR DCFW + number, but I only see that prompt when setting up a new phone. Is there a way I can change this in programming that's easier than setting up a new phone?

DCFW is only for Phantom TN, it doesn't seem to be your situation.
Try to use FTR FDN, to forward call on non answer, or/and HUNT, to forward on busy. don"t forget CLS (FNA and HTA and CFXA too).
You can also try to use FTR EFD and EHT to forward external inbound calls to a number and internal calls through FDN/HUNT to an other.

Cfwd a phone in programming

CFXA = EVIL!!!!!!

Do not use this unless you want trouble!!

Your options are --

CDP entry with a DGT to the fwd to number
or you could use a dummy ACD q NCFW to fwd number
or a phantom tn DCFW'd to fwd number.

The way we do it is the cdp method where after the entries are programmed the user is given an extension number that equals the cdp entry. The user the forwards thier phone to the ext. and the phone then is forwarded on to the pre-programmed number. the only controll user has is turing forward on or off.

Good luck!!
