SIGNS YOUR COMPANY IS PLANNING A LAYOFF

Howzit,

I have recently been given two old Meridians by my manager. I think they are option 11's ( look similar to our opt11c but older). He wants me to get them up and running in case we have any future use for them.

I have powered them up and tried to login. I get two slightlly different scenarios:

First: NTAK11GC( chassis #)

I type 'logi' then I get 'pass?' prompt. I then typed what I thought was the password (0000)and I got this response:

OVL15
OVL111 000 IDLE
.
OVL400 00

Now I know that OVL400 means that Ive been locked out for trying the wrong password too many times( I guess). My question , if that is the case is, how can I find out the existing P/word or how can I change it to a new one?

Second:NTAK11BA( chassis # )

I type 'logi' then press ENTER and this is the response:

OVL111 044 BKGD

I am pretty confused so if anyone can help I would be grateful for some advice. It would be a shame to have to systems sitting around doing nothing because of password issues.

cheers,

Kerry

Well that sorted out the second one acewarlock, thanks a million. Thats quite embarrasing.

I am still having the same problems with the first one however, whether I type 'logi' or 'LOGI'

any ideas?

thanks

T,
You most likely need to get the passwords from somewhere. Hopefully the Option 11's are registered with Nortel in your companies Name, and your Vendor can get those for you.
