Location: New Jersey Rep Power: 7  Gender:  Country:    | Digitial Readout boards I need to create a script that calls for a help desk to close early on Friday. the hours of operation would be 7:30 to 7:00 Monday thru Thursday and 7:30 to 5:15 on friday... can this be done? | ||||||||

Location: Kansas Rep Power: 7 | NCOS and TGAR Yes this is possible. What I would do is create the following script variables: Helpdesk_Hours1 (7:30..19:00) Helpdesk_Days (Monday...Thursday) Helpdesk_Hours2 (7:30..17:15) Then in the application at the beginning of the script, I would put the following verbiage IF (DAY OF WEEK = Helpdesk_Days AND TIME OF DAY = Helpdesk_Hours 1) OR (DAY OF WEEK = Friday AND TIME OF DAY = Helpdesk_Hours 2) THEN EXECUTE ________________[section in application for open hours] ELSE ROUTE CALL ______________ [closed treatment] END IF Of course there are several ways to script this and I made tons of assumptions here but assumed that you would be able to make changes as needed. For example, if you are playing an announcement for closed, just change that portion of the proposed script. Please let me know if you need any other clarification... Good luck! | ||||||||
