Location: Chicago -- CENTER OF THE UNIVERSE Rep Power: 12 ![]() | Executive override on a call Quick look gave me this for Rls 22, looks like the same for 18,19,20 & 21 Jack End-Of-Life (EOL) Notice Bulletin Number: EOL-2002-1584-Global Issue: 1.0 Product Name Generic X11 Release 22 End-Of-Life Notice Date: October 2002 End of Life (EOL) Date: Q3 2003 (no later than October 1, 2003) Market Regions Affected: Global - NA, CALA, EMEA, and Asia Pacific Introduction This notice serves as formal communication of Nortel Networks’ intent to end the life of the product noted. Nortel Networks originally introduced X11 Release 22 in 1996. Since January 2002, Release 22 has been in Global Retirement status. The move to End-Of-Life status was planned to occur a further 4 years from now. However, as was previously discussed in Bulletin P-2002-1544-Global, due to industry abandonment of the 4 MB standard, Nortel Networks is no longer able to maintain support for the X11 releases delivered via 4 MB media. As a consequence, Release 22 is being accelerated into End-Of-Life for all market Regions and all system types. Projected timeframe to termination of 4 MB support is Third Quarter (Q3) 2003 – to take effect no later than October 1, 2003. End of Life Definition –No further support will be provided. Product and its delivery process/media are no longer supported or available from Nortel. Emergency recovery and/or upgrades may be performed in accordance with customer specific service plans or upgrade agreements as negotiated prior to EOL. Alternative/Replacement Products/Solutions Customers running the affected releases are encouraged to upgrade to Current software as soon as feasible. At this time, Release 25.40B is Current.
