A few years ago a site I was involved with wanted to use GSM phones to become extensions on the then M1 61C 25.40. The (then) vendor came back offering a solution called "PICO node" they told me was a solution from Nortel. Due to the price tag attached to it, the project was canned there an then.
With all the progress made in technology generally, I'm also curios what solutions are on offer from Nortel, in particular for smaller sites (not the campus type), please do tell..

I was told by a Nortel regional architect that beginning with rls5.5 Nortel is looking to support dual mode phones.

Neither Fletch nor I can discuss products which are not released yet. Nortel account reps and channel partners have access to Non-Disclosure presentations which do provide details on futures - including what is proposed to be delivered with CS 1000 5.5.

Why is this a secret? This was announced as a potential feature in 5.5 at a INNUA education day last month. This was a public forum and there was not anything said about non-disclosure.
