Location: Arizona Rep Power: 6 ![]() | Re: ATA trouble----HELP I have two PRIs- each are FAS and are used for one route. The PRIs are being converted to NFAS so I can use one D-channel for call processing on all 46 B-channels and another D-channel as a standby. Other than rebuilding the D-channel on one PRI as the backup DCH, and the D-channel on the other PRI as the primary DCH, what else needs to be done on my end? I have an Opt 61C, rls 21.54.

The circuits have to be provisioned this way before you can change the programming. I thought it was that easy as well but I was told that this needs to be done. We are acutally setting this up now in our current office at work, and yes I had to tell them that we were setting up the PRI that way. Good luck __________________ -=Welcome to PBXInfo=- -Become a PBXInfo Supporter -Get more PM Space, Profile Picture, a Signature -Add yourself to Pbxinfo's Frappr -Find Nortel Software

Location: Chicago -- CENTER OF THE UNIVERSE Rep Power: 10 ![]() | How to disable sets that are unused YEP, Think about it, if carrier is sending D channel signals on channel 24 of T's # 1 -3, and switch thinks that it only needs to look at T#1 & T#3 -- primary & backup d-channels -- how would T# 2 channel 24 be interpreted as a B channel ? If I didn't explain well post back. Jack __________________ Dogs rollover Phones hunt

Location: Arizona Rep Power: 6 ![]() | buliding MOH - RTMB Thanks, I do understand. Here's why I ask... These are new PRI circuits that will be replacing my existing NFAS PRIs that I have with a diferent carrier. I have spare PRI cards so I built new PRI loops to test the new PRIs before having my DIDs ported over to the new carrier. The new PRIs were delivered FAS by mistake but I tested them anyhow, with both loops/D-channels set up for FAS on my end. The new PRIs tested fine FAS. I asked the carrier to reprovision the new PRIs for NFAS and once they completed their re-build, we tested them again- after I changed my D-channels on the new PRI loops for NFAS. Now, the new PRIs don't work. My prim DCH goes into an EST WAIT state while the carrier's DCH goes into an RNR state (DMS-100). It stays that way for a few minutes and then goes into lockout, at which time my DCH releases and then immediately goes into EST WAIT again (auto recovery is on). I'm testing one PRI at a time, so the other PRI and DCH is disabled while I'm doing all this. I'm trying to figure out if I'm missing something on my end or if the problem lies with the new carrier's setup.
