Video conferencing PBX ????

I'm sure there is an easy solution to this that I'm over-looking. A supervisor wants the phones in her department to be able to dial all external calls (local, long distance, etc.) but wants to restrict the phones from RECEIVING any external calls at all. I've done the reverse easily enough but I'm not sure what to do for this proposed set-up.

External Calls

Just some suggestions....

I'm sure there is a way to do this via Nars/Bars - but that's not my thing...

You could:
1. Give them non Direct Inward Dials...
2. Place the numbers in you IDC table and convert to your operator.

I've seen this thread before and there are a number of ways to accomplish this....

External Calls

Thought of changing to non-DID's, but the employees' extensions are already printed and distributed firmwide, so they don't want to change their numbers.

Chas - I don't think reverting calls back to the Operator would work. She's swamped as it is and I think she might resent having to field that department's calls.

Why not take Chas idea 1 step further and dump them into voicemail with a msg. that the number you have reached is not in service and hang up.

How to OUT all reference to ATT?

And if she doesn't even to know there is calls coming on her extension, in IDC you can convert to a dead-end, like an ACD (with NCFW same as the ACD nb). :flamethrowing:
