Does Nortel make a Universal Trunk Card other than the NT8D14? We looking at getting an 11C with Universal Trunk Cards and the DISA package at one of our overseas locations. The vendor's item number, on the system quote, for the Universal Trunk Card is NTUJ68AA. Is NTUJ68AA just some sort of package number or is this a different XUT for overseas?

Are you sure it's not a typo? I can't find NTUJ68AA listed anywhere.

kind of cool

What country? There are separate "IPE Circuit Card" NTPs for various countries which outline the unique trunk packs for that country.

Ace- I couldn't find NTUJ68AA anywhere either.

GW- It's for the Philippines. Will the NT8D14 work over there? My plans were to send two NT8D14s, that I have here in the states, to the Philippines for use in the 11C there.

Philippines isn't called out specifically in the list of countries with unique packs and my gut feeling is that their telecoms are based on U.S. standards ( I do know that it is one of the few countries in Asia using North American electrical plugs running 110v). I've sent a note to a Nortel colleague in Asia to confirm.

Thanks gw. The plugs are indeed similar. One of our folks, from the US, out there plugged her 110 VAC hairdryer into the 220 VAC outlet in her hotel room. Let's just say she went to work that day with wet hair. :scared1:

Got confirmation from Nortel rep in Asia that Philippines uses North American trunk cards.
