Location: Toronto Rep Power: 6 ![]() | Need help ATA2 Disconnect Signal I have one person here having trouble with the handsfree feature on the a 3903 telephone. When talking hands free voice cuts in and out at the other end. This only happens while the person on the other end is using the handset, problem doesn't occur if conversation is handsfree to handsfree. I understand the feature is only half-duplex so background noise can be a factor in causing the conversation to be clipped....but this is more then just clipping, the line actually sounds as if it goes dead and then comes back. I've tried a different telephone, problem still exists. I thought maybe attenuation on the line, but wouldn't this problem occur while using the handset as well if that were the case. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks Adam

Location: Fort Myers, FL Rep Power: 6 ![]() | I have a guy with a 3903, MARP'd to two other locations. I have his feature set up as HFA, however, it won't work for some reason. When you hit the extension button, you can hear dial tone through the speaker, but no go on the HF button. I've changed out the 3903 already with a brand new one...still the same problem. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Location: The other side of the Lake from work Rep Power: 11 ![]() | My question is this: Which phone are you trouble shooting? One thing you may want to test is if the trouble exists every time, or just on two phones... I HAVE run into similar issues, but after some Sherlock work we'd come to find that the trouble only existed btwn two phones, and the one we'd been trouble shooting (with HF) was NOT the troubled phone, but the handset of the OTHER phone was. A shot in the dark, but if you've not already pared it down to this simple proccess, it may be worth a try. __________________ You can't wield supreme executive power just because some watery tart threw a sword at you - Look, if I went 'round saying I was an Emperor, just because some moistened bint had lobbed a scimitar at me, they'd put me away!
