I know I have set this up years ago, but I can't remember how. I just need an information only mailbox that I could forward an existing user to. I have tried setting this up as an ACD and also as a phantom, but when you forward the number to this new number it always goes to the existing mailbox number. If I remember correctly, if the number you are forwarding has a mailbox then it will always go the mailbox of the number that is actually dialed. If anyone has any info it would be greatly appreciated.

Create a Recorded Announcement then forward the caller to that. You can't leave a message on a recorded announcement.

Also,

If you add it to the VSDN table, it should override the mailbox.
