Meridian Mail PASSWORD

I'm puzzled about FDN vs. HUNT. A user wants his calls to ring to his associate when he's on the phone or on Make Set Busy, but wants them to go to voice mail if the calls ring at his phone and there is no answer. I thought FDN ruled one situation and HUNT the other. But it seems like the phone always follows whatever is designated for HUNT. Why? What situation is ruled by the FDN programming? Here's the programming of the phone. (2500 is our voice mail number, 2345 is the user's associate's number.)

dialing pauses

try changing LHK to 0, so call will go to key 0 only you have key 1 and 2 as SCR with LHK2 so call will ring on that set before going to FDN (if i looked at it right) and as far as MSB i'm not sure what will be the route if any it will take (i need to read the NTP)..

good luck

Hunt/FDN Confusion

Can't change LHK to 0. They want calls to hunt to that second and third line.

I thought maybe I had to put HBTA in the CLS, but my system isn't equipped for that. Could that be what is causing the problem?

Is this a new install?
Look in CDB (RDR) at FNAD, FNAT and FNAL.
If any of these are programmed as HUNT (the default) then no-answer calls will follow the HUNT DN instead of the FDN.
Don't know why anyone would want this but....

configuring phones to answer call on pickup

Steamer - That was exactly the problem. They were ALL set to HUNT. I have no idea why the system was set up that way initially.

Thanks to all who helped!
