Question 1140E Handsfree - Improve sound quality
Hi everyone,

Is there a way to improve the sound quality with the handsfree option
with a 1140E?? Some people are complaining that on the handset quality
is great but using handsfree quality is crappy.

If you are using the latest firmware (C3C) and are having issues with handsfree performance, then please escalate to your channel and have them raise a case with Nortel to have this looked at. I just did a search and we have no reported issued from our customer base with handfree performance on the 1140E.

By the way Gord, I just installed the new 2050's for a customer of mine and they are a ton better looking then the old version. Great Job!

The IP phones seem to clip a little bit more than the TDM phones in 'busier' office enviroments; when I had one I had to mute it a lot in order to hear the conversation - seemed to happen with all of the models though.

I too have had a VP complain about the speakerphone performance on the 1140. Said it is very difficult to interrupt anyone ever with it. He is willing to keep it because of the great styling. haha
