op:11c networking with norstar

I am tring to connect to a 81c via ethernet and have read the guides and can connect to the PBX but it just says PDT then asks for the password. I have already tried the switch password and this in not the password it wants. I was thinking there was a way to connect without having PDT access which I do not have. If anyone knows of a way to get in without this password or the way this is supposed to work please post. If you feel the info is sensative please respond by a private message. Thanks

You need to program at least one pseudo tty port (PTY) in LD 17.
Also, when you connect using rlogin the Userid should be, for example,
CPSID1000 - will connect you with USER SCH or
CPSID0100 - will connect with USER MTC
The 0's and 1's are binary toggles for SCH MTC BUG and TRF in that order.
Check out Tim Russell's explanation at

I use CRT from VanDyke Software.
Reflection version 10 also has rlogin capablity. Expensive but very powerful for customization and scripting.
As far as I know Procomm doesn't do rlogin.
