Location: Toronto Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Bring an OUT extension back on for the original user I would like to bring an extension back on the system that was taken out by mistake and I would like to know how to retreive that extension that was taken out and return to the originial user. I get an error mesaage after using PRT DNB After input of the DN Directory the error message below is displayed SCH0881 No valid DN can be found starting with specified digits.

That way if you OUT something by mistake you can go back an use your saved TNBs to find the DN and TNB it was built on. www.ghtrout.com has some useful MSAccess files you can save your TNBs in too. Also, try printing a single TNB when OUTing or CHGing a telephone and keep it in a folder until you get more comfortable programming. Measure twice... Cut once!

Other than that you are going to have to build from scratch. The user should remember their own number __________________

Neither very practical but possible. Agree with jumper trace to the TN and ask the enduser what DN they used to have/want ?

Location: Toronto Rep Power: 0 ![]() | I guess I did not explain myself properly and the issue sounded like it was bigger than it should have been.Eventually after looking up free TNB's and free DNB's ,I was able to see the TNB's and DNB's I was looking for the outed extension. I was able to rebuild the phone back through using CPY which is quick and dirty .I then saw what is one of the implications of using CPY as the second extension needs to be taken out and replace with the proper one as it presently belongs to the phone that was so called "clone" from using CPY. The question now is how can I change the second extension and relace it with the proper one.Sample of config below.. Here is the one that needs to be change as it belongs to another user. KEY 00 SCR 4907 0 MARP 01 SCR 3889 0 CPND NAME Bruce Lee XPLN 27 DISPLAY_FMT FIRST,LAST Basically 4907 is ok,but another user owns 3889 and therefore this should be remove and add 3907 instead. This is what I saw as one of the implication of using CPY command. Thanks again for your help.
