MTE disconnection periodically

You need to purchase a block of DIDs from the carrier that provides your inbound (or inbound/outbound) trunks, then build phones on your system with extensions that correspond to those DIDs. As PP said, you shouldn't get DIDs that conflict with your dialing plan. IE: if you dial 9 to get an outside line, you can't have any 9xxx's; if your SPRE is 7, you can't have any 7xxx's, if you have a DSC 20, you can't have any 20xx's, etc...
